This motherhood session was incredibly special to witness. This beautiful mama came in with her three young kids, each one bursting with energy, personality, and the sweetest kind of chaos. From the moment they arrived, the studio filled with laughter. Little feet running across the floor, tiny hands exploring every corner, and even a few spontaneous cartwheels in between.

Honestly, we could have photographed for hours.

As a Calgary motherhood photographer, these are the sessions that stay with me. There’s something so meaningful about watching a mother connect with each of her children, one-on-one. In the middle of busy, everyday life, those quiet, close moments don’t always happen, but here, we get to pause. We get to hold onto them.

I felt so honored to witness her bond with each of her kids. The way they leaned into her, the way she instinctively knew how to comfort, play, and connect with each of their unique personalities.

And the youngest? He was BUSY. Completely on the move, curious about everything, determined to explore every inch of the studio. And honestly, that’s what made it so perfect. These are the moments they’ll remember about him at this stage. The energy, the curiosity, the constant motion… it’s all part of his story right now.

It’s always a little bittersweet too. Sessions like this have a way of bringing you right back to when your own kids were that small. The fleeting seasons, the tiny details, the moments you wish you could hold onto just a little longer.
